I had the most wonderful experience at Monkfield Dental Practice. Ricardo and his team were so friendly and caring from the minute I came in. The practice is beautifully designed and calming which helps so much with dentist anxiety. Before this, I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while because of this anxiety and Ricardo immediately made me feel included in his check up and care. No products were pushed on me and I felt like I had choice with how I wanted to proceed re teeth whitening. I came away feeling better than I went in which is a first for a dentist experience! I will definitely be coming back and bringing my whole family here :)

I recently had a dental implant to replace my lower right first molar and a crown fitted on the upper molar to restore proper bite and chewing function. Everyone (dentists, nurses and receptionists) is always very polite and welcoming. My daughter (11yo) is very quiet and nervous and has always had good experiences. We have had appointments with both Ricardo and João, and they have both made her feel at ease and relaxed, taking the time to explain clearly each stage of the process. Would definitely recommend!

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER‼️I joined monkfield dental as a new patient in late July and I had my first appointment very quickly in early August. I was anxious and I even ended up crying during my appointment because I’m very frightened of needles but I was made to feel very supported in that moment. Dr Ricardo and the dental assistant made light of the situation and made me feel comfortable. During the procedure they were consistently checking in with how I was doing and answered any questions or concerns I had. I know it’s all part of the job but it made me feel like they were making extra sure I was okay because I was a bit fragile at the beginning of the appointment. And for this I am endlessly grateful! Dr Ricardo and his team take duty of care very very seriously!I am very happy with the results and I want to say thank you to Dr Ricardo for giving me the confidence to smile again. 🤩 🦷 He is a very personable and friendly guy. He makes it very easy to ask questions and he answers them thoroughly and informatively. In fact, I think the entire team at monkfield dental is wonderful! ⭐️💐🌹

I recently moved to Monkfield Dental from another practice. I had an initial check up, then some fillings and some cleaning and polishing. In all cases I was delighted by the level of care and attention given by the whole team, who at all times provided a fully professional service. I had my first visit to this newly opened dental clinic today after being disappointed with my previous dentist—and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The clinic is state-of-the-art, clean, and modern. The staff were all incredibly polite and professional. I was seen by the head dentist ( Dr. Ricardo Macedo), who was outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire procedure. I had a wisdom tooth extracted, and it was handled with such care and precision that I barely felt a thing. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality dental care!

The practice and all the staff are brilliant. Ricardo especially has been nothing short of fantastic with my 9 year old daughter. She had a bad experience elsewhere and was very nervous of even a routine check up. Ricardo made her very relaxed and calm. When she had to have an emergency tooth extraction, Ricardo was so good she actually came out smiling!

Fabulous! I am 61 and for most of my adult life I have always chosen dentists that offer sedation via intravenous. This is because of my fear /phobia originating from my childhood bad experiences. Today I had my 3rd appointment with Ricardo and Alexandria. I have had 3 very old fillings replaced (front teeth) and scale & clean, all whilst being completely awake. I didn't experience any pain. Right from the start Ricardo put me at ease, and kept me informed about the procedure. Each visit I have hardly felt the anesthetic injection, I couldn't hear the drill so it bore little resemblance to my earlier experiences (without sedation years ago). His assistant Alexandria was equally caring and made sure I was comfortable throughout. Monkfield Dental have not only fixed my teeth, but also helped me overcome my fear and anxiety.I imagine there are many others like me (of a certain age) that have been putting off the inevitable. Tooth decay will result in far more pain and discomfort than any visit to this excellent dentist. We are so lucky to have Ricardo / this dental practice in Cambourne!

Have visited 3 times. Dental consultation, scale & polish and crown replacement. Initially I thought the clinic was expensive. But upon reflection. The facilities, including the technology used, is extremely modern. The staff are extremely patient, professional and explain all treatments in advance, giving you options and risks. Appreciate this is a private clinic, if you are comparing to a facility taking NHS patients then this wouldn’t be fair. I agree there should be better access to NHS dental care, but this review is not reflecting this. Thank you team, great service.

Amazing experience. I am an extremely nervous dental patient after having some bad experiences when I was younger. I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long because of it and Ricardo and Natalia were brilliant - I was so at ease from my consultation to my next appointment where I had crown prep and airflow scale and polish. They checked in constantly during the procedure and it was my best experience to date. Would definitely recommend

Excellent practice! Great and modern facilities, easily accessible location, Monkfield Dental really made a difference to me in a moment of need as I have a broken tooth which had its resin damaged during a meal I had on a Friday night, and they promptly managed to fit me in on a Saturday morning to fix it for me. Really great experience at Monkfield Dental! Had previously been for hygiene consults elsewhere and always ended being underwhelmed by the results, to a point where I stopped going. I was blown away by how much of a difference a consultation with Dr. Ricardo made to my teeth. I really valued the advice I was given, which I felt to be adequate and sincere. After leaving it a lot longer than I should have, I summoned the courage to visit Ricardo at his newly opened practice. The practice instantly feels a welcoming and calm space which really helps calm the nerves. Ricardo took the time to explain and show me what needed to be done, and never did he make me feel guilty nor ashamed for my lack of dentist attendance over the years (this was also another thing I worried about!)I returned for my procedures which were all completed in one appointment. I had a lot of anxiety surrounding the dentist due to past experiences but feel that I will now be able to attend consistently to keep on top of things a lot better. I would like to say a big thank you to Ricardo & his assistant for the very caring way that they removed two teeth one which was a upper wisdom & the one next to itI had previously been waiting in pain with a continuous infection for over two years p.m. whilst waiting for the hospital to remove themMy husband was so annoyed by this continuous waiting & seeing me in pain he then decided to join Monkfield dental practiceAfter a very warm welcome Ricardo did a full consultancy & agreed to remove these two teeth asap after scans he removed them last Thursday & I am now in recoveryWe are so pleased with Ricardo & his team we would recommend them to everyone

The whole of Ricardo’s team at Monkfield Dental are wonderful. I had not been to the dentist in two decades and it required someone special to gain my trust. The team quickly made me feel at ease and helped to alleviate the unwanted stress of visiting the dentist. They have really impressive new facilities that can provide for all of your dentistry needs. The preliminary investigations felt far more meticulous and comprehensive than anything I have ever received from previous NHS dentists. The problems with my teeth were clearly outlined to me and a clear treatment plan was shared with me before moving forwards. I felt well informed every step of the way and Ricardo made every effort to explain what was happening during each procedure and to ensure that I was comfortable throughout the process. I will keep returning to Monkfield for treatment in the future and can happily recommend them to anyone that is searching for a new clinic.

I have had two appointments here recently, after almost 10 years of not visiting a dentist! This is a brand new practice, with modern decor and immaculately clean. The receptionist is very welcoming and eases your mind, if like me, you're a bit nervous. The dentist himself is a young, friendly practitioner who makes the extra effort to introduce himself personally with a big warm smile. He goes through the procedure with you - and explains the results of your X-rays & photographs. There is good communication between dentist and patient throughout the examination - so that too helps to calm and nerves. I had a new filling on my second visit and a complete clean (which was sorely needed!). All in all, for me at least, this was a smooth and pleasant experience - despite my low threshold to pain! Happy to go back there in 6 months time for another check-up.
